'Vote Karega India, Tabhi Toh Badlega India' , July 11, 2017

On 11 July 2017, The IIS University in association with the Election Commission organized a one-day campaign in the University campus. The drive was attended by the District Collector  Mr. Siddharth Mahajan, Election Commisioner Mr. Ashwani Bhagat and the brand ambassador Ms. Apoorvi Chandel.

It aimed to raise awareness among the youth for systematic voter education and electoral participation. The program started with a Nukkad Natak performance by the students of The IISU Theatrical Society presenting the importance of voting and election processes. In the Nukkad Natak titled “Matdan Badlav Ki Pehchan” students presented a lot of facts about the voting conditions in India. The most important information given by the students was mention of NOTA – None of the Above – a new option which was introduced in 2014 where a voter could press NOTA to cast his vote but at the same time registering his intent that none of the candidate was worthy of his vote.

The Nukkad Natak was followed by poster making and slogan writing competition under the National Service Scheme. Campaign marked a big start to the upcoming University activities.
