And it’s that time of the year again!
The IISU Theatrical Society is back with it’s Annual Play Workshop. Annual play workshop 2019 inaugural was held on 22nd August in Aditya hall. A total of 59 Students enrolled for the workshop this year.
The Workshop is a one month intensive training program organised by IISU Theatrical Society. It is the most awaited time during which students not only get to explore themselves and discover their hidden ability to act but also by shedding inhibitions associated with performing in front of audience.
This time also Annual Play Workshop saw an enthusiastic participation of the students who were all geared up to attend the inaugural programme. The programme commenced with welcoming our Director Sir Shiva Prasad Tumu and introducing him to the participants. Sir Shiva Tumu is yet another highly educated and experienced personality in theatre who has completed his M.A in theatre arts from university of Hyderabad and is alumni of national school of drama since 2010. He has been a faculty of National School of Drama extension workshop for various years and currently he is an assistant professor of department of dramatics at University of Rajasthan. The inaugural programme was further headed with explanation of how the execution and whole process of making a play will be carried out by Sir Shiva Tumu.
The programme concluded with introduction of students and extension of floral greeting to Sir byDr. Aditi R. Khandelwal (Convenor).
