The IISU Theatrical society has organised an exclusive screening of Malgudi Days on 12 October 2020 on Microsoft teams between 3p.m to 5p.m. This Screening was organised to fill the void on of R.K Narayan Birth Anniversary which was on 10 October 2020. Malgudi Days is an Indian television series that is based on the 1943 short story collection of the Mr. R. K. Narayan. The series was directed by Kannada actor and director Shankar Nag. The stories revolve around the life of a young boy, Swami and his motley crew of friends. Each story has a simple plot—their struggle with school, their insecurities, their triumphs, their frustrations, or the views of adults. The stories depict small-town intrigues and aspirations with simplicity and subtle humor.

Event was started at 3p.m with compering, there were 21 attendees and the screening was shared through screen sharing. Everybody enjoyed the event,they felt nostalgic even the department faculty enjoyed the event. Along with that feedback forms taken through Google forms.  we took screenshot of the screening as virtual memory of the event. As a first event of the year which was organised virtually, was a great start as a whole.
