Telling a Story – Your Way

On the 26^th of February, 2018- the IISU Theatrical Society organized an Intra College Story Telling Competition which included both self-authored stories as well as retelling of various stories from English, Hindi and Urdu literature. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of nineteen students. The Judges for the competition were Ms. Gayatri Rajwade and Ms. Pallavi Singh who are very closely associated and familiar with the art of story telling through their imaginative endeavor – THE STORY TREE.  All the participants had spell binding stories to tell. While some brought the audience on the edge of their seats, some gave food for thought to ponder upon. There were stories about incredible ironies, comic characters, tearful tragedies and a lot more.

The judges, at the end of the event praised the confidence of all the participants and made a special mention for the self- authored stories.  After the prize distribution -the audience had the pleasure of getting a taste of professional story telling by members from ‘THE DRAMA DAILY ‘which is a very popular story telling forum .Overall, the event was successful in its purpose of providing the students with the opportunity to discover and learn about this very beautiful medium of creative and intellectual expression called story telling.
